What to Look for in this Upcoming week
By: Michael Anthony Incorvaia
This week in the Markets multiple big and important earnings are being released. With companies like Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Mcdonald’s, Google, 3M, General Motors, PepsiCo, Raytheon Technologies, Intel, Mastercard, Exxon Mobil, and many more all to announce. We just saw the beginning of the earnings with banks doing significantly better than initially expected even with the multiple failures that happened this quarter. But overall, what can we expect to see from these many massive companies as they all release their earnings at once?
Well… So far, we have seen that 76% of the companies in the S&P 500 beat their earnings so far. Overall, we are expecting good earnings to come out this week and this earnings season, but with a cautious tone involved. This is because the Fed continues to raise rates putting pressure on the economy and the jobs market. Also, as we enter this week it will be important to stay on the lookout for key economic data coming out this week on Thursday which will release their initial GDP for the first quarter. With all these aspects coming out this week it is going to be key to stay on top of all the earnings data and economic news coming out. So, good luck with another big and exciting earnings week.
