What you’ll Hear with the Big Earnings this Week

Read Time:1 Minute, 46 Second

This upcoming week we will see a series of big earnings and news from the Fed that is all going to have its own impact on the markets. We will see the likes of Microsoft, Google, Meta, Visa, Mcdonalds, Spotify, Chevron, Exxon, AT&T, Verizon. And with a ton of discussion about rate changes and how the market has moved lately we expect nothing but crazy this week.

For tech we have seen recent substantial growth, especially with companies like Meta and Microsoft who have exploded this past year from their not so long-ago lows. But what’s to expect for this earnings season generally? We overall expect companies like Microsoft and some of the other big names to beat, but more importantly what’s going to be said on these earnings calls is a lot about economic state and some of the new hype terms like AI. It is almost like a current cheat code to boost your stock if your company does anything related to AI and then mention it at your Earnings call. Companies who have their earnings this week like Microsoft, Google, Meta, and come of the others that you wouldn’t initially expect like Visa, Mcdonalds, Chevron, and Exxon are most definitely going to at least if not discuss AI and their plans with it. We will also continue to see mentions of CPI and Job talk this week especially with the major companies. This is also true as a lot of the more major companies had a ton of major layoffs in order to optimize cost in an expensive time period with high rates.

With that being said we already saw the likes of AMC getting short squeezed again to start the week off so there is most definitely going to be excitement in between as this is a major earnings week. And with Microsoft finally looking like they might be able to finish their purchase of Activision. We will expect a continuation of the recent ideas that have been said the past couple of years with CPI, Jobs, and AI being the centerpieces of your earnings call.
